Today is my 4 year anniversary of my diagnosis. I have MDS del 5q which is a low risk form of the disease. I have been very lucky and done very well. I’m aware that others in my position have not been so fortunate. I’m thankful to my hematologist and the rest of my care team, for without them, I wouldn’t be alive.
My message to you is to try to stay positive and as active as possible. I’m hoping that my story will help others realize there is hope.
