How scared should I be. Doctor told me he is trying to rule out MDS. 60yo Native American Blood problems for years. In 2012 I found out I was contaminated by toxic water including benzyene for over 2 years at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC as well as other chemicals TCE, Vinyl Chloride, PCE etc…. Been totally disabled since 94.

Clint, instead of being afraid, be diligent about finding a center of excellence in Blood disorders. Mds will be determined by a bone marrow biopsy. Have you had one?

Hi Clint, my dad was a world war 2 marine who just passed away from MDS. We think he got it from being exposed to the Nagasaki bomb. You should seek out an MDS Center of Excellence and get a second opinion.research MDS and exposure from the military, there is a lot of info. Best of luck and feel free to write.
