    Hello
My dad was exposed to Benzene at work which is what caused his mds. I’m Looking into filling a occupational disease workers comp claim for him and trying to get all the info I can before I file. If anyone else has been in a similar situation I’d appreciate any advice. Thank you, we live in Ohio.

    Hobert,
Just curious, is there a way to tell definitively that benzene caused your father’s mds? I was exposed to benzene in my late teen years while working at a printer who printed labels on plastic packages. I’ve wondered since being diagnosed if that was the source of my mds. Thanks.

Pat, I’ve seen a lot of notice’s from law firms trolling for clients for different type cancers. The one for benzene use is a rather later one. I do not recall ever having used benzene in my long work career with a very large communication company. However, we did use carbon tetrachloride extensively for many years before they quit supplying it to the job sites. We also were in contact with asbestos for decades before they changed to a different fire proof product. Did any of those cause my MDS? I’m much too old to ever find out.
