Hey folks had my consult with Dr. Perez at Moffitt on Tues. Review my prog. score (2.0) and their treatment plan for me. It seems I have a something of a fly in the ointement though. I have Hep C and have had it for ~20 years…seems thsy won’t do the BMT if my viral loads are high (waiting on lab results at present). And since my counts are so low, I suspect they will not be able to treat the Hep C with Interferon. Kind of a catch 22 if my loads are high…so if anyone has any insight or advice it would be much appreciated….thanks!

Warren, hope those lab results come back with a low viral load number so you can proceed. The Hep C is something I am not certain of. Have they determined what your blasts count of marrow is? My husband was dx’d Dec 01, with RAEB. He has been asymtomatic until about 7 months ago, started having issues. We continue to take it one day at a time.
