    Lydia,

I hope things are going better with your mom.

    Jack,

Is your wife showing any improvement with the targetrin? Is she any closer to a haplo?

    Prayers to all,
    Mary

My 89 year old mother sleeps mostly all the time, her cognitive abilities are declining all the time, appetite is poor, needs help bathing. Transfusions didn’t help her at all. Due to the fact of her age and health problems, she decided to decline injections and just deal with the disease as it naturally progresses instead of trying to get ready to go to the hospital all the time. Hospice has gotten on board now. Today is the first day that I had to help her eat her lunch. Eats very little. She is so very, very, weak…..This is a very bad thing to say, but when there is no quality of life for the individual-I hope her time like this is short.

I just don’t understand the sleeping for prolonged time and so much confusion in her words. She notices that she can seem to articulate well and it is very frustrating for her.
