My husband just finished his first 7 days of Vidaza, his counts dropped very little and he felt fine except of a little soreness where shots were given. He now hs 21 days off and then again he is also on Procrit and doing fine. He was dx with MDS-RARS in Jan.2006 went into AML May 2006 and had chemo ara-C and is now in remission, although his doc wants to use Vidaza a consolidation treatment for the next 6months to a year and then go on maintaince or whatever. This has been the hardest thing we had to fight in our 47 year marriage, our faith and friends and immediate family have been our angels. We live each day fully, much more than we did before this illness, Thank you to all of you on this forum,especially to Suzanne and Neil. Gloria
