I mentioned before that I was going to insist my husband see his doctor before we headed for Mexico, so he had no choice, and I’m pleased to report that all counts are holding steady and liver, spleen, kidneys etc. are all still normal and healthy. Doctor said he didn’t need to have cbc’s done more often than every 3 mos. unless he noticed changes in how he feels. That was a relief to my husband who has “white coat syndrome” big time. Also wanted to mention here, if no one minds, because I’m not trying to sell anything, but my husbands doctor just put out his second book, “Leukemias,Lymphomas, and Myeloids” by Teriq Mughal this month. It’s expensive, but written very plainly for both patients and doctors who don’t know much about this disease. It can be ordered through Amazon, Barnes and Nobel etc. Secondly, I wanted to mention that AARP, for those of us over 50, has a good hospital indemnity plan that pays for every day in the hospital and you don’t have to answer any medical questions. That could come in very handy for those who will spend a month or more in hospital with transplants. Again, sorry if I offend anyone, as I know this forum isn’t for product advertisement, just trying to be helpful. Hope all of you have a good holiday season and I’m remembering a special prayer for those suffering a loss this year.
