Nick had more bone marrow taken yesterday & will be seeing the specialist at Kings College Hospital in September.

I had my blood taken this moring for the Histocompatibility test, my sister will also be tested so it’s everything crossed for a match.

It’s taken a while to get our heads around them not wanting to do a transplant ASAP, but when you weigh up the risks of the chemo & the transplant itself you can understand why they want to watch & wait for a while.

Watch and wait is hardest in the beginning, at least it was for me. If things stay stable, it gets easier as you adjust to the shock of the diagnosis. How are his counts right now? Let us know when you find out about any karyotype abnormalities.

I am glad you found us.
