    Hi,

    My mother recently completed her 4th round of Vidaza. She has also been taking Procrit shots. Today we received the results of her bone marrow test. She still has dysplasia in her marrow. She also now has fibrosis in her marrow. The doctor told her that Vidaza is not working for her and we go for a consult at a Columbus, OH hospital next week.

    A few questions about bone marrow transplants. How effective are they? What is the average recovery period? What are the side effects?
