A former University of Colorado football player passed away on Tuesday from leukemia and MDS. There is some coverage on the major news websites, but the Univ. of Colorado athletic website has more detailed information.

It’s all so awful and I hate this disease, but I’m thankful for press coverage like this in hopes that will continue to create awareness for MDS.

Thanks for passing the article on Angie. I’ve sent it to my husband at work to see if he knows Buff Witherspoon. How terribly sad, he was so young.
