I receive this magazine called CURE
    http://www.curetoday.com

In it I saw a list of drugs that are still being tested for different cancers. On the list of drugs was a drug called Sarasar. It states its for MDS and in stage 3 of testing.

Has anyone heard of this drug or know anything about it?

    Just curious!!

My father isnt getting any better and just knowing there *might* be something new is encouraging.. smile

    Thank you
    Wendy

    Wendy,

I also receive CURE. What issue was this article in about Sarasar? I googled Sarasar and the info I found was from 2002. I would love to know that another drug is around the corner that could be the answer.

    Hi Wendy,

I found one link dated in 2008 regarding a Phase III trial for Sarasar. Unfortunately, the writer did not expect this drug to add any significant improvement to existing drugs used to treat MDS. See:

I feel the same way as you. Something in the works available soon makes me happy.

The magazine says its a special issue.
vol. 7 no. 4– The front cover says “Where Are We Now?”

thank you for those links, I take a look at them.

IS ANYBODY FAMILIAR WITH THE COMPOUND NAMED DMAPT WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO KILL THE BAD LEUKEMIA CELLS WHILE LEAVING THE GOOD ONES ALONE? WELL IT IS STARTING TRIAL, THE COMMERCIAL NAME IS LC-1. IS A COMPOUND MADE FROM A PLANT NAMED FEVERFEW. IT HAS BEEN RESEARCHED BY DR. CRAIG JORDAN FROM ROCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER. IT SOUNDS VERY PROMISING
