My father has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Caner. Today he has been sick and unable to swallow his food or drink. He chokes and becomes frightened. Is this a side effect of the procrit shot or does this go along with Pancreatic Cancer?

    Dear Sabra,
I’m so sorry your dad has been diagnosed with such a serious disease. I’m afraid I’m not much help in answering your question, but I’ll try. I don’t know if your dad’s symptoms are those of pancreatic cancer; however, I doubt that procrit would have this effect. I do have two ideas for you. First, look up procrit and pancreatic cancer on the Internet and learn all you can about them. Knowledge, more than anything, can help you to help your dad. Secondly, be absolutely certain that your dad has a specialist in pancreatic cancer whom you can be fully confident in. Best wishes, Sabra, to you and to your dad.
