    Hi,can someone tell me what is considered a normal peripheral blast count,and if the count is above the norm what treatment is usually given.

    Periperal blasts should be <1% or none. They could be a spill over from bone marrow excess blasts or even come from the spleen or liver.
    You really need to have a BMB to check level
    of blasts in the marrow then decide on the treatment. My Opinion.

    Russ,thanks for the reply.I did have a bmb and it showed 17% blast in bm. The periperal blast was 5%
