My dad’s doc said that next week they are sending his blood out for “TNH”. Does anyone know what this is and/or means?

Did he say TNH or perhaps PNH?

    Hi Neil:
I got it from my mother, so I’m not sure… she probably isn’t either. She just said that they are taking extra blood to see if they can do something with the chromosomes… it’s new… and she thought it was TNH…???

Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria is another form of bone marrow failure. Generally not as severe as MDS.
A common symptom is dark (almost burgundy) urine in the morning.
