Does anyone out there have any information about Vidaza and heart conditions? Has anyone had heart issues as a side effect, or know of anyone who has?

Use the following link to review Vidaza side effects. It mentions dizziness and chest pains.

    Hi guys
The vidaza materials do indicate heart issues in a very small number of patients. I’m looking for actual experiences here, expecially from anyone who entered treatment with pre-existing heart problems. We’re seeing our cardiologist in the morning, and would like to be able to relay actual experiences.

    Dear Margaret:
Jim had trible bypass surgery 2 years ago. Now he has MDS. We finally got into the Mayo Clinic and we will be seeing one of the top Oncologist there on the 7th of December. He still has heart problems and takes lots of meds for it. We are hoping that the doctor will know how to handle the chemo when we see him.
Good luck with your husband. He is a lot younger then Jim and I think he will be fine. Jim is 73 years old.
    Have a good Thanksgiving

Hey Margaret, my father was on Vidaza w/ heart issues – congestive heart disease, thickened arteries. He didn’t have any real problems though while he was on it… at most, irregular heart beats….

Please feel free to ask any questions. I will answer as best I can.

    Kathryn
