    Hi MDS-folks,
is there anyone who is experienced in swallowing
“valporic acid” the combination “valporic acid” and “Aranesp”.
    PLEASE:
Can you tell me about the effectiveness there was, or there is – AND about the side effects.
I have read all I can about this stuff, still I feel not enough informed yet.
I will get the vpa in order to try to keep my HGB up and to keep me from too many transfusions.
I am supposed to be still low-risk-MDS.
    Thanks a lot, Bergit

Guten Tag! I’m sure my spelling is incorrect but I’m trying.
my wife just got off doing 3 rounds of oral valproic acid WITH DACOGEN. I never heard of a leukemia/mds patient taking VA by itself. It was developed to “smooth out” mental patients. With dacogen, about 30% of leukemia/mds patients have gotten a response from the combo. Unfortunately, it didn’t do anything for my wife. aranesp is used to build hgb.
