As another child-of-an-MDS parent, I can understand a little about what you are going through. I had also found this board while seeking advice, knowledge and understanding. I’ve been told that with certain drugs, blood counts often ‘get worse before getting better’. I got the impression that there is not an exact time frame for how long the ‘getting worse’ part lasts.. Did your dad’s clinician talk about using any different drugs.

Ask the Doctors questions, do whatever research you can.. and most importantly, take care of yourself.
