Rose: Thank you for your story. I also have MDS and no one will give me the insite that you have provided. I have lived with it for a little over 2 years, and like most, face an uncertain future. We have tried several treatments, however nothing seems to work well enough to continue.I am going to Dana Farber on Friday and we will see what the next step is. You have brought me comfort as my wife and I move forward and I wish you the comfort in knowing that your husband, like myself, made this journey not alone but with the love and caring that only a spouse can provide. Hello Jack

I was diagnosed with MDS in early April of 2017. One year ago today I has to see my oncologist and told her that my left leg felt tight and hot. She sent me to the hospital for a scan and they discovered a clot and it had broken off and traveled to my lungs. I stayed in the hospital for three days while they gave me blood thinners and sent me home to recoup. I’m still on the blood thinner, but at a lower dosage and I guess I was lucky as there seems to be no major problems one year out. Hope this helps.
