Hi, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. It sounds just like what I’ve been going through with my father, who is 87. He was getting treatments of Vidaza along with monthly blood transfusions for the last 3 years. Last month his doctor said the treatments weren’t working and stopped every thing and told him he only has a few months left to live. He’s now on hospice care, having resigned himself that the end is near. I can’t believe that there is nothing that can be done. He’s saying goodbye to his friends and family and I’m looking for something — anything that will prolong his life.
