My 88 year old mother in law just past on December 18, 2019 of MDS. She didn’t have a fever but was always being checked for one. The doctor said everyone is different so they were always monitoring her. At the end however, she did go from usually be cold to being hot. We were told, as the body declines, the temperature regulator in their bodies stops working. Things did start moving quickly once she stopped her transfusions and went on hospice. She passed away at home, peacefully, without pain and with dignity. Our hospice nurses and her doctor were absolutely wonderful helping her and us make a painless transition. Thinking of you at this time with your dad.
