Dear Diego, My husband is a MDS patient with WBC >.1 HMG 8. and Platelets 20. We were formally diagnosed almost 4 months ago. Some of the things our oncologist told us is your and sanitizer constantly. Face masks when around unknown germ sources. Two of our grandchildren are under 1 and when they get their immunizations he stays away from them for a week. My husband’s doctor also has him on different antibiotics for anti-viral, anti-fungus, anti-yeast all to help keep infection away. I use disinfectant wipes on everything he comes in contact with, controllers, phones, door knobs, his oxygen supplies (tank, etc), any and everything. I keep packets in every room of the house and use them constantly.
