    Hi
Read all the reviews of Dacogen….
My dad is on only transfusions without any medication…diagonised as MDS 10% blast aug 2006…
We are from India and doctors here have just no idea on Dacogen how it works and the results…
Is it recommended in such a scenario to go ahead with the medicine if we can procure it or just remain transfuion dependant….He is just 58 years old with monthly transfusions and low platelet count.
    Thanx

If any more options are available please let me know

    thanx

Just wanted to know my dad was detected with low platelet count and was given a platelet transfusion.Inspite of it the count still remains low.
He keeps getting tiny blackish blue spots on his tongue which now are becoming big like a bloodclot causing a lot of inconvinience for intake.
Are these signs of low platelet or low blood count level.
His Haemoglobin is presently 7 and platelets are 20000.

    Thanx for your immidiate reponse….

Im sorry but i would want to know how can i contact the MFG-Pharmion Corp as we are in India and have no clue about it.

And since my dads paltelets are in the 20’s and doesnt generally get higher and is also on monthly transfusions of 700ml will Vidaza make him further weak as it is quiet a strong drug.

Its really sad to read the demise of your dad…

I undersatnd that a dad’s place cannot be replaced by anyone…

He will still be with you mentally though not physically…take care…
