How low are her counts?
sarahMemberWhat a special surprise for you John.
sarahMemberJosie, welcome to forum. Its important she sees a hematologist who specializes in MDS. You will know more when you find out her classification.
Wishing your mom well.
SarahsarahMemberHi Vance, glad to hear Ruby is doing well. Hope she continues to get stronger and improve.

SarahsarahMemberCollene, welcome to forum. When will you get the results of BMB? Wishing the best for your husband.
SarahsarahMemberCarrie, keeping you and your Dad in our thoughts and prayers. Hope he feels better soon.
SarahsarahMemberJimBob, hope you get good test results.
SarahsarahMemberShellie, when faced with a serious illness, you get frightened. However most peoples will to live kicks in and you make choices. You can either give in to it,or decide to fight back. Your Dad needs to get to the point he wants to fight back, educate himself and live the best quality life he can with a positive outlook.
Hope he improves soon,
SarahsarahMemberFred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA
sarahMemberSo sorry to hear of your loss. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. He is no longer suffering.
SarahsarahMemberI agree with Eve. His mental state is of upmost importance.
sarahMemberBill , so glad your appointment went well. We felt the same way with our first trip to the Hutch. Thats where we want to be also if we find a match. I am glad you are happy with your decision. You are fortunate. Hutch has been searching 3 years for my husband for a match, nothing has even come close. He has a very unusual combination of antigens. We keep hoping and praying to find that one special match. Best of luck to you.
SarahsarahMemberDave, best of luck to you!
sarahMemberHi Tara, great news that you are doing so well. What is your classification? Are all your counts in normal range? Hope you continue to do well.
SarahsarahMemberAndrzej, my first thought in the US is Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Seattle WA. On the MDS Homepage you will find links to Centers of Excellence both in US and outside US. They should provide stats on transplants.
Take care,
