    Patty,
When my husband was dx in Jan. 2006 you were the first one I wrote to. I appreciate your opinion more than you can know, plese reconsider about leaving this board we all need you. Not all of us are as knowledgeable on natural remedies as you are, I for one certainly am very grateful for the help and advice I got from your posts. God Bless you and your family and your MIL, she is blessed to have you. Love, Gloria

    Sandy,
Happy Fourth to you, did Joe receive complete remission after his first heavy chemo or did he have the 2% blasts right after the first chemo. My husband went into complete remission after chemo and is now on Vidaza to stay there, any information would be helpful. Thanks, Gloria

    Sandy,
My husband went from MDS to AML in a short time and was also lucky to be in complete remission. He just started Vidaza yesterday and again tomorrow, off 21 days and on for 7.BMT for us was out no siplings. Also we were told since my husband is 69 SCT would be out as of now. His hemo doc. seems to think the Vidaza will keep him in remission. Any one have other fews on this. Thanks, Gloria

    Dennis,
My prayers are with you, I hope all goes well. I have not responded for over a month. My husband Kornel dx in Jan. 2006 with RARS, Procrit did not help he developed AML May 12, 2006. Chemo Ara-C was in the hospital for 5 weeks. Is now in full remission and doing well. Just started his consilidation rounds of Vidaza today and I know that his counts will drop.
HGB> 11.8, WBC.9.8, RBC 3.97, ANC.4.4 and Plt. 404 , during treatment his WBC down to .2 and Plt down to 10, all quickly improved. Good Luck to you all. Gloria

    Fran,
Don’t give up,Jim will go into remission sometimes it just takes longer. My husband Kornel dx in Jan. 06 MDS, went to AML in early May. He had chemo and we spend 5 weeks in the hospital, infections and heart problems. Had a BMB on June 21, and today June 23 received results, total remission. We are on cloud 9 and pray he stays in remission, we will do some vidaza for save measure, he takes only a 81mg. of asprin a day thats all. This whole illness has been a living nightmare. Our prayers are with you all. Gloria

    Dear Sarah,
Thank you for your advice and I am so sorry that Charlie passed on, he is with God and in a better place. My husband was very depressed today and cried, he has had two chemos and today was to have a transfusion, but doc said he was holding his own and would do chemo again tomorrow. I go to hospital in the morning and stay until about 4.00 he wants me to drive home before the heavy traffic. Thank you so much for posting. God Bless you. Gloria

Dennis, My husband had his first two Chemos this weekend, he is holding up fine. He will be in the hospital for about 4 to 5 weeks they say, I have not spoken with a Social Worker as yet and although the doctors and nurses are very nice, I am looking for a support group. Everyone on this board has been so great and I pray for you all and have found such a bond here. I was always so protected by my husband and now I feel so lost. Gloria

    Dear Ellie,
Thanks for your reply I will seek out a Social Worker tomorrow at the hospital. They want to start Chemo right away since that will be my husbands best chance, he is very brave and we do have a strong faith, but it is so hard. I have tried to do some research at the AML site without any luck. This forum here is my life saver everyone is so great, I love you all and pray that all will turn out for everyone.
