Hello Beth,
you’ve found a very caring and knowledgable family of forum members that have either been through what you’re going through and folks who have had to learn so much so quickly about these class’s of disease, but we’re all here for youSandy MMemberyes…Merry Christmas wombat
Sandy MMemberI lost my Joe a couple yrs. ago and your poems have really touched my heart
thank you !Sandy MMemberhugs…hugs…hugs
God BlessSandy MMemberfor all…
I lost my Joe a couple of years ago and I am still missing his voice almost as badly as if he passed away yesterday ! the old saying of “time heals all wounds” isn’t correct, all time does is dull the ache, and it’s pretty raw still for me, I fell for you all who have lost loved ones …at times it’s unbearable and at times I can find little things (like our 4 yr. old son) to keep my mind from wondering into the sadness, , on the 14th. of this month, lil Joe will be in his first pre-school christmas production, his class will be singing songs, this will do me in, i’m sure ! but if I try real hard I know I’ll feel Joe right beside me grinning and with tears rolling down his cheeks with pride ! all I can add is … let out you’re tears and god blessSandy MMemberthank you terri, you’re so thoughtful to pass this on to us all
Sandy MMemberI know I’m a little late… but Happy Thanksgiving everyone
Sandy MMemberHi Britt, just wanted to say hello and that I grew up in Santa Rosa and now live in Lake County
Sandy MMemberFran,
How does Jim feel about getting a port put in ? I know that my Joe was scared by the reality of it all but in a small way also relieved that he didn’t have to be used as a pincushion in his arms.Sandy MMemberHello Gloria,
sorry it’s taken me awhile to get back to the forum but I’ve had some computer issues,
Joe went through the induction round of chemo and after all the close calls with infections and other things that chemo does to ones system, we were told that he still had 2% blasts showing up and his dr. said he needed more chemo, the same type he had initially, and he never pulled through. you and your husband have had a great outcome, thats wonderful news !!! I don’t believe that vidaza was as well known as a maintnance drug then as it is now…
(or atleast our dr. didn’t offer it)Sandy MMemberDr Greenberg and his associate Dr. coutre are excellent, Dr. coutre kept in touch by e-mail with me and when i had any type of questions would e-mail me back by the next day
Sandy MMemberMy Joe was seen by Peter Greenberg,at Standford Univ. we had a good experience there and we were treated with courtesy and respect, our apt. ran over as well, but given the situation, we understood, the University is highly recomended and they don’t like to rush through patients and they allow as much time as needed to each one, they are also aware that folks travel many hours to get to the consultations thats more than likely why they run behind. I hope you’ll give Stanford another try,
SandySandy MMemberJerry,
I’ll tip my glass to your toast !
Hope all have a great new year with renewed strength to keep up the fight ! although my holiday’s have been faced with having to find a new place to live because the owners have decided to put the house I’m renting up for sale, I even wish them happy holidays and good luck in selling this beautiful house I live in,(the house Joe picked to rent lakeside) I have so much to be thankful for, my three healthy children ect. and my forum family…Sandy MMemberI’ll double that…
