DonUKMember
Jon, Nadine, yourself and your children will be in my prayers.
Please take care,
DonDonUKMemberHi Conrad – I think it’s a balance – how progressive is the MDS (i.e. prognosis) versus risk of transplant.
Do not kid yourselves – a transplant is not a walk in the park by any stretch of the imagination, and carries obvious risk. But then I’m probably biased in that respect.Take care,
DonDonUKMemberCaroline, sounds like an awful time, but the right result in the end no matter how unprofessional, uncaring and unfeeling your loacal ER was.
Take care & best wishes to your dad,
DonDonUKMemberCongartulations Marsha – I echo Ellie and Glen’s sentiments – long may the good health continue !
Take care,
DonDonUKMemberRobin, I am so sorry to hear this news.
My prayers are with you and your family that you may find peace.
Take care
DonDonUKMemberThanks Kathryn ! I did see your PM (sorry been busy trying to get in shape!). I’ll try and write something more this week.
Hopefully it should contribute some good towards non-transplant patients too. The Anthony Nolan Trust were heavily involved with the Leukaemia vaccine which British Scientists have been working on.
Speak to you soon,
Take care,
DonDonUKMemberThank you Terri, that is very kind.
Take care,
DonDonUKMemberFantastic Dave – the counts look fandabydozy as we say in the UK (short for “good”)
Keep going my friend as there is a huge light at the end of the tunnel known as “cured”. You have done so well to get where you are.
Please keep posting and let us know how you are getting on.
Love to you and your family,
DonDonUKMemberHi Dave – sounds like things are going well. I’m sure you still feel pretty tired.
Dave – from personal experience and I’m sure Marsha will back this up can I ask you to promise us all something ?
Anytime you feel out of sorts or “not right”, please see a doctor immediately. Do not let them palm you off with “Oh you’ll feel a bit ill after a transplant”; and by no means sit there yourself thinking “I’ll feel better tomorrow”.
You must tell the Docs everything and let them do their job. Do not worry about pestering them.
Marsha – back me up ?
I wish you well my friend,
DonDonUKMemberCarrie – I am so so sorry. You and your family have my sympathies and are in my prayers.
God bless,
DonUKMemberMelody, life is so cruel.
God Bless you, your father and family.
Words are never enough in these circumstances.
DonUKMemberCarrie, may God bless you all. I can’t tell you how sorry I am having read your previous post.
Try and be as strong as you can for your dad.
I am so sorry, words are never enough.
DonUKMemberCarrie, my very best wishes to you and your father.
Give him a great birthday !
DonUKMemberMy prayers are with Bill’s family.
DonUKMemberThank you all so much for your kind words. I would not wish this illness on my worst enemy.
You all remain in my prayers each night.
Don
